The Laurels of Coldwater is very pleased that many surgeons and attending physicians follow their patients at our facility.
If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. Medical Director
Dr. Whitaker graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA in 1997 with a degree in Chemistry. After graduating from Marshall University School of Medicine in 2001, he completed his residency in Family Medicine in Grand Rapids, MI. He has been practicing Family Medicine in the Coldwater, MI area for over 15 years. He and his beautiful wife, Amy (a nurse) are raising 5 children.
Attending Physician
Dr. Andrew Colman serves as an attending physician at The Laurels of Coldwater. Dr. Colman graduated from the College of Osteopathic and Surgery at Michigan State University and has been practicing medicine for over 35 years. Dr. Colman is certified in geriatrics and is an integral part of our healthcare team in ensuring the overall care and wellbeing of our patients.
Attending Physician
Dr. Yanni Chen, D.O., is a board certified family practitioner who graduated from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. She is owner/vice president of The Family Practice and Orthopedic Care Center, PLLC, and furthermore, she continues to teach as a clinical assistant professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Attending Physician
Dr. Davis graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. He works in Litchfield, MI and specializes in family dedicine. Dr. Davis is affiliated with Community Health Center. He is board-certified in family practice and attends at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
Nurse Practioner
Holly Weaver, MSN, AGNP-C, CRRN, is a nurse practitioner who specializes in the care of adults and the elderly. Holly has steadily climbed the ladder of nursing, starting her career as a nurse’s aide, then LPN, RN, and BSN. Lastly, she graduated at the top of her class with her Masters in Nursing Science from Spring Arbor University in 2016 and received board certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has also received board certification as a rehabilitation nurse. In Holly’s nearly 20-year career, she has accumulated a wide variety of skills and experience including long-term care and educating long-term care nursing staff. This is where her heart and passion are. She offers a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach to resident care and values the input of every member of the team. In her free time, she treasures her family, is kept on her toes chasing after her two Daniff mix puppies, enjoys creating delicious and nutritious food and exercising, loves a good cup of coffee, and likes to camp and explore the outdoors.
