Attending Physicians

The Laurels of Coldwater is very pleased that many surgeons and attending physicians follow their patients at our facility.

If your physician does not have admitting privileges, our Medical Director or other attending physician will be happy to oversee your care while you are staying with us. If you have any questions regarding your physician coverage, please don't hesitate to contact us at (517) 279-9808. We can assist you to ensure that you will have physician coverage.

The current list of attending physicians at The Laurels of Coldwater includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Stephen Dallas, MD, MA, Medical Director

Stephen N. Dallas, MD, MA is a specialist in Internal Medicine. He studied at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine from 1991 – 1995, then completed his Internship and Residency training at Michigan State University/Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.  He services southwest Michigan residents in his private practice, nursing homes, assisted livings, as well as hospice and palliative care patients.

Yanni Chen, DO

Dr. Yanni Chen, D.O., is a board certified family practitioner who graduated from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. She currently partners with Dr. Hartman as the Owner/Vice President of The Family Practice and Orthopedic Care Center, PLLC, and furthermore, she continues to teach as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Troy Davis, DO

Dr. Davis graduated from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996. He works in Litchfield, MI and specializes in Family Medicine. Dr. Davis is affiliated with Community Health Center. He is board-certified in Family Practice, and attends at the Community Health Center of Branch County.

Richard Hartman, Jr, DO

Dr. R. Hartman is board-certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine and did his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Ohio University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in consortium with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Hartman has practiced privately within the Coldwater community for the past seven years. His commitment to this community has been exemplified with his outstanding work with the Community Health Center of Branch County. He is a nationally recognized pioneer and lecturer in the field of Computer Assisted Surgery and holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor at Michigan State University. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Des Moines University. Dr. Hartman is licensed in the States of Michigan and Indiana.
